Workshop Spotlight: Tales of a Digger

June 26, 2019

ATALES OF A DIGGERLaurie and her clan have a long history of wild harvesting in the Appalachian Mountains. Walking the ridges since the mid 1700’s, their connection to the land and the plants that live there is deep. Steeped in the traditions of digging, Laurie has a raw view of the state of woodland medicinals. Sometimes shocking at other times disturbing, this unveiled peek into the industry of commercial digging and the market that demands them is sure to open your mind and heart to changing our most precious medicinals path and saving the heritage of wildcrafting.

This workshop is suitable for Teens and Adults

Laurie Quesinberry

Steeped in the traditions of Appalachian wildcrafting, Laurie Quesinberry is a generational digger and mountain woman. With a deep connection to the plants, her journey began as a poacher and evolved into plant - and land - steward. With a unique perspective of at risk plants, Laurie is working to restore connections and breathe new life into wisdom’s of old; while preserving a path for the plants’ future.
