Workshop Spotlight: Engaging Your Community With Seeds by Torrie Rae

July 21, 2018

Torrie Rae, of SEED Brown County in Indiana, will discuss the importance of understanding the history of seeds in our cultures, as well as saving seeds collectively for a better future. You will learn the ways in which we as gardeners, farmers, local food advocates and community members can participate in the cycles of seed and bring the "seed piece" to local food and herbalism projects.

Torrie Rae is the founder and executive director of SEED Brown County - an organization based out of Southern Indiana focused on seed stewardship and cultivating more seed savers within local communities. She is passionate about using seeds and their stories to engage communities while working towards a more connected seed collective network in Indiana.
