LAMMAS RITUAL WORKSHOP
Join us for a short introduction to the holiday known as "Lammas." Lammas is the first harvest festival of the year, celebrated at the beginning of August in the Northern hemisphere. This is a celebration of bounty and a marker of the beginning of the labor intensive harvesting part of the agricultural year. Lammas is a tradition in England and Scotland which transcends religion, being embraced by the Christian churches (which mark the event by blessing loaves of bread) and, more recently, Neopagans who celebrate it as one of the eight Sabbats, seasonal festivals that mark points on the Wheel of the Year. This workshop will give you what you need to know to join us for our Lammas Ritual to follow. Teri "Cricket" Owens RN, BSN, MS
