Stephany Hoffelt Selected as Keynote Speaker for MWHF 10

Teri Owens, Co-Organizer of Midwest Herb Fest 10 has just announced the choice of Stephany Hoffelt BA HAS owner of as Keynote Speaker. Stephany will be presenting Traditional Healing in a Modern Context.

About Stephany:

After beginning her career as a self-educated folk healer, Stephany chose to pursue advanced studies culminating in a Bachelor’s degree from Goddard College hose to pursue advanced studies culminating in a Bachelor’s degree from Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont where she studied clinical herbalism, ethnobotany and ecological design. Having this ​dual ​perspective has allowed her to meld the historical practice of community healers with modern scientific research in a unique manner.

Stephany turned her focus toward herbal education. She teaches at conferences across the country, including the Midwest Women’s Herbal Conference, The AHG Symposium, and the Traditions in Western Herbalism Conference and is a contributor to The Herbal Academy of New England’s Entrepreneur Course and their Advanced Herbalism Course.

She also teaches classes locally and is a learning facilitator at Kirkwood Community College where she teaches continuing education classes on herbal self-care.
